MONARCH software is used extensively and very successfully by the CALSTARS agencies to assist their management  information reporting needs and requirements.

Monarch is a leading report mining and data analysis tool, designed by the Datawatch Corporation.  It allows PC users to easily access, extract, and manipulate data from any existing computer-generated report, transforming report output files into live data on your PC.  With Monarch, you no longer have to flip through thick printed reports and re-key data into a spreadsheet or other application for analysis.  You simply load a report file into Monarch and out comes the data, which you can view, sort, filter, summarize, graph and export to other desktop applications--all without programming.

Monarch is a good solution for managers, analysts, accountants and auditors who want to access and manipulate data from trusted reports, quickly and easily, without programming.  At no time during this process is the integrity of the data in the original report compromised.

Virtually any report used in your organization can be brought alive in Monarch.  These files are commonly known as print files, spool files, TXT files, formated ASCII files, etc.  Monarch Pro can access data from several different files including XLS, MDB, DBF, WKx and HTML.

Monarch training is available to all CALSTARS agencies.  Please refer to the training website for further information on the training schedule.
