Fiscal Managers Expectations & New Reporting Requirements
The Department of Finance is conducting a new mandatory training class (2 hour session) for fiscal managers on expectations, accounting and budgeting relationship, and new reporting requirements for 2012-13 year-end and the fund reconciliation process for the 2014-15 Governor’s Budget. WHO MAY ATTEND
This training is mandatory for managers who have full responsibility over the department’s budget, accounting and internal audit functions. The training is also mandatory for the fiscal manager over both budgets and accounting. A maximum of 4 participants per department will be accepted and must represent each fiscal area.
OBJECTIVE
Upon completion, participants will be familiar with the relationship between accounting and budgeting; new reporting requirements for year-end and fund reconciliation process for the 2014-15 Governor’s Budget.
PREREQUISITE
Review BL 13-02, Budgeting and Accounting Relationship and Coordination.
DATES AND LOCATION
Classes will be held in the Redwood Room at the Department of Finance, 915 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. The class duration is 2 hours. Each session is limited to the first 40 enrollees. The following sessions are available:
June 12 – 1:30 pm
June 13 – 9:30 am and 1:30 pm
June 14 – 9:30 am
June 17 – 9:30 am and 1:30 pm
June 18 – 1:30 pm
June 19 – 9:30 am and 1:30 pm
