California Budget

Through a year-long process, the Department of Finance prepares, enacts, and administers California's annual financial plan, the California Budget. The Governor submits the Governor's Budget to the Legislature in January, and after the Budget is revised in May, it is enacted as law by September. The Budget is available on the California Budget Website, and archives of Budget-related documents are available in the Historical Documents section of this site.
