Calstars Procedures Manual

Transmittal Letter (TL) #42, Volume 1

This TL communicates updates to the CALSTARS Procedures Manual, and provides changed pages in the PDF file format.

Major Changes

• TOC – Updated to reflect addition of new chapter.
• Chapter V – GLAN 1170 – added information to description: this GLAN should only be used with Trust and Agency Fiduciary Funds.
• Chapter V – GLAN 1180 – added information to description: this GLAN should only be used for Debt Service Funds, Enterprise Funds, and Trust and Agency Fiduciary Funds.
• Chapter VII – An updated Document Shadow File Inquiry screen has been installed to display a 4-digit Year in the FFY and Date fields.
• Chapter XI-A – Add new chapter Collecting and Remitting Backup Withholding for California State Income Taxes.
