California County Profiles
The California County Profiles, updated by the California Department
of Finance, is a compilation of selected economic, social, and demographic
data for California and its 58 counties. This statistical "snapshot" includes
information in the following areas:
- Population of the county and largest cities;
- Educational enrollment and spending;
- Labor force and employment by industry;
- Number of business establishments by industry and employment size;
- Income and sales;
- Imports and exports by customs districts;
- Housing stock, residential / nonresidential construction, home prices;
- Manufacturing industry / timber production;
- Agricultural data, such as number of farms, employment, and value
of production;
- Vehicle registration and miles of streets, roads, and highways; and
- Local government tax collections and expenditures.
