  1. What is an Internal Service Fund (ISF)?

    An internal service fund (ISF) accounts for the goods and services provided by a state department to other state departments on a fee for service basis.

    The major internal service funds in the State are the (Department of General Services) Service Revolving Fund and the Department of Technology Services Revolving Fund.

  3. What services do ISFs provide?

    The Service Revolving Fund (SRF) provides a wide variety of services including rental facilities, transportation, equipment, and printing. The Department of Technology Services provides information technology and telecommunication services.

    The cost per unit of service is determined by a rate structure prorating the direct and indirect costs of providing the services over the units of production.
